If a course isn't right for your family, we'll refund it. Here's exactly how that works, with the one condition stated up front.
Effective August 8, 2026 · Last updated August 8, 2026
Thirty days, or through the end of Lesson 3, whichever comes first. Work through the first three lessons. If it isn't what you hoped for, email us and we'll refund the full purchase price.
We'd rather explain this than hide it.
A Certain Step course takes about ninety minutes end to end. Under a plain thirty-day guarantee, someone could finish every lesson, download both takeaways, and still ask for their money back. That makes the guarantee impossible to offer honestly.
Three of five lessons is more than enough to know whether the teaching style works for your teen. Past that point, they've had the whole thing.
Refundable through the end of Lesson 3, and for thirty days after purchase. Whichever arrives first closes the window.
You can request a refund if both of these are true:
We check the completion record on the account before issuing a refund.
Downloading the takeaway materials doesn't disqualify you. Completing Lesson 3 does.
No reason, no form, and no phone call. One email does it.
Refunding a course ends access to it. The learner's account and any progress on that course are removed. Any other Certain Step courses they own are unaffected.
If a lesson won't load, a download is broken, or a learner can't get into their account, email us before requesting a refund. Most of these take a few minutes to fix, and we'd rather fix it than lose you. The thirty-day window pauses while we're working on it.
Bought the same course twice, or bought the wrong one? Email us. We'll refund it in full regardless of lesson progress. This policy was never meant to catch that.
Please email us first. A chargeback costs us a fee on top of the refund and takes months to resolve, where an email takes a day. We've never turned down a reasonable request.
